Sherwin-Williams raises FY2026 guidance on broad-based share gains and 8% September price increase despite no demand recovery in sight

Sherwin-Williams delivered high single digit consolidated sales growth in Q2 2026 — exceeding guidance across all three segments — driven entirely by share gains rather than market recovery, with management explicitly stating the updated outlook 'assumes there is not a broad based demand recovery.' Adjusted EBITDA grew 10.5% to $1.5 billion with margin expansion of 60 basis points to 21.5%, supported by a 21% improvement in net operating cash. The company raised full-year consolidated sales guidance to mid-to-high single digit growth and adjusted diluted EPS to $11.80–$12.20, while simultaneously announcing an 8% price increase effective September 1st to offset raw material inflation projected to run high single digits in the second half.
